2004 Land Rover Discovery SE

We have built everything from "mild to wild" over the 150+ Discovery's we've put together, but this one stands out for its clean, straightforward style. We envisioned a truck that was able to be driven daily but still turn heads wherever it went. We think this was accomplished by keeping things simple and elegant. The key build elements start, of course, with a great truck - in this case a 117,000 mile Southern truck with exceptionally good paint. But, like most '04's it required an upgrade to one of our ultra-strong remanufactured engines, complete with "Top Hat" liners and ARP high-strength chromoly studs holding down premium quality Elring composite head gaskets. This engine is covered under our Workmanship Guarantee for a full year! Also under the hood, the essential engine support systems were upgraded, with new coils powering 8mm "Blue" wires to all new hoses connected to an OEM "low-temp" thermostat delivering coolant from a top-drawer Airtex water pump. A 2" Terrafirma lift kit and steering damper are complemented by 18" Hurricanes wearing 32" Nexen Roadian AT Pro8's and spaced to the edges of the reconditioned fender flares by 30mm TF spacers.. The subtle yet strong Gladiator bumper fits beautifully and carries a pair of custom LED foglights that incorporate Daytime Running Lights, giving the truck a very contemporary look when coming down the road. The headlights have also been upgraded to H7 LED bulbs. Glare from the hood is controlled with a Crawlarado G4 style hood decal. Out back, a Terrafirma steel bumper wear black shackles with isolators that match those on the front bumper. A RoverBones elevated spare tire mount holds the matching fifth wheel and TF taillight guards complete the package. Well almost - it takes a keen eye to recognize that all the LR logos have been updated to the later style silver on black to compliment the truck's own colors! Inside the buyer specified a contemporary Alpine 9" touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay and mated to a night vision backup camera. Of course, as with all our builds, the headliner was replaced with a lifetime quality unit, the lever covers were upgraded to French-stitched leather ones, and LR All-weather mats are in place. We also want to offer you the option of Black Powder-coated wheels, as shown in the pictures, if you prefer that look. You decide - did we hit our goal?
